M 100 and Friends
April 23rd, 2018
M 100 is a small but bright spiral galaxy in the Virgo cluster. It isn’t imaged as often as it should be and I was surprised to see how bright it was. I even managed to capture a bit of the tidal stream surrounding the galaxy. Also in the frame are the edge on spiral galaxy NGC 4312 (left of center) and many other galaxies that are part of the Virgo supercluster.
